My girls cats are confusing me...any answers?
i got my girl 2 kittens a few weeks after she lost her dog of 13 years and i have never seen kittens act this way..the female always wants to be on my girls lap, sleeps with her and goes up to lick her cheek or chin always purring ..the male is affectionate, sleeps with her but what i dont understand is why he tries to bury their dry cat food..are these normal things for kittens to do? they are both 14 15 weeks old im also paying to get them fixed in the spring...

Why do cats like to hide there toys?
I have bought my cat many toys and she loves playing with them, But she also loves to hide them later after she plays with them and I have a hard time looking for them for days I am tired of buying her new toys due to the fact she hides the old ones. And never gets them or forgets where she hide it
Advice on Persian cats?
I have a rescued Persian cat. We think he's somewhere around 10 years old but obviously know nothing about him other than he was starving when we got him and we had to have all but 4 of his teeth removed due to severe infection. He's got this thing, though, that when something makes him jump like the dogs walking up behind him unexpectedly , he starts to cough. Is that normal? Could there be something the vet hasn't picked up on?Definitely not hissing. This is a real hacking cough. Like a heavy smoker first thing in the morning. I assume it's a defence mechanism but it seems like a strange one.
Why do cats take off like rockets, when ever they cut a fart?
One of my cats Archie suddenly takes off running when ever he lets one go. Compared to my boy friend, who just stands there grinning foolishly & tries to squeeze off another one.
Different types of flea meds for cats?
I have been using Frontline, the kind that is sqeezed in between their shoulder blades, but since I've used it last month, it doesn't seem to be working. What are some other comparible flea meds? Can fleas build up a resistance to Frontline? Nay...N I use Dawn dishsoap to bath them because it suffocates the fleas...but it does not keep them off them and it's not healthy for a cat to be bathed every day. Frontline doesn't kill cats...that is only if they have a allergic reaction to it. Thank you for the information though.rrm38 my cats are indoor cats too, they've never been outside except in a carrier. But here in Georgia, fleas are tough...I get my house treated also and they still seem indestructable. A new vet that I used in South Dakota didn't get all his plumbing out...grrrr....so I ended up with 5 kittens who I could find homes for so I am keeping them. Luckily the vet is helping me out with the spaying and nuetering once they are old enough...they'll be 5 months old on Dec. 19th and I have my first appointment set for Dec. 22nd I have the greatest hubby in the world for him letting me keep all the kittens I meant to say " couldn't find homes for." I don't mind the cost I love my cats...my hubby calls me the crazy cat lady who found the crazy critter man as he puts up with me...I have 11 cats, 4 dogs, 2 ferrets and 3 horses. My monthly maintenance is high on everyone..but they are all so worth it I have terminex come in once a month...this is the first time in months that I've seen a flea...but that is how I realized that the frontline hasn't been working this last month and in a week it's going to be time to treat them again. When we first moved down here and I discovered that fleas really do exist...I was a bawling mess They were like a attacking force and I was worried about my cat that was pregnant and it was horrible. She is spayed now. The vet said it would just be easier to spay her then to put the nuetered cat back thru the nuetering again...plus he doesn't spray or act like a tom.
Which animal is smarter, dog or cat? I have 2 cats now and have had dogs in past. Dogs much more trainable.?
But does more trainable mean they are smarter. My cats seem to be as smart as my dogs were, but they are just more independent and don't want to be trained. The cats actually seem to do a much better job of staying out of trouble.
My cat scratched his eye and can't keep it open.?
My cat scratched his eye somehow, maybe one of my other cats did it or he did it himself while playing, he seems happy and not to be in pain but he cant really keep his eye open, any suggestions on what to do? i feel so bad for him.
Stray cat in my house.. how do i get rid of hiM?
there's an opening in the floor in a non finished part of my house and a cat keeps coming in.. i didn't see it at first but i saw it's paw prints all over my stove and countertops.. today i saw the cat.. i can hear it running around downstairs and it was upstairs earlier.. how can i get the cat to go away? it runs whenever it hears me and hides but doesn't seem to leave the house... help can cats be dangerous? lol

My son is 18 months old and a VERY active little boy Sometimes he and the cat will play tag both being surprisingly gentle for and hour or more. Have you ever heard of a cat playing like this?sake bomb this kitty we have had for a few months, but I have had a lot of cats through the years. This is the first Siamese though. She is a very sweet girl, we love her to pieces and my son is VERY attatched
Whats Wrong With My cat??
my cat kitten in 10 months. shes a indoor cat but has been outside but not since september. she has been givin flea bathes in october bc she had scabs and they went away but tonight i went to go scrtach her in her favorite place on her neck and theres a bump and its red n a scab. i lookd for a tick but didnt see one. what is it?? what can ido to help it?? it just appered today.shes not around other cats or any other animals

Funny things a cat will do?
My cat, Daisy, almost always has to follow me to the restroom because she is obsessed with watching the toilet flush when I am through She also sleeps in one of my kitchen cabinets at night. I leave the door open that way all she has to do is sleep on her shelf, that I keep empty just for her. What other funny things do your cats do? I would love to find one that is a bit more bizarre than the toilet flushing obsession LOL
